We are expanding our operation and have an opportunity for a Payroll & Finance Assistant .
Main Function of role:
The Payroll & Finance Assistant will assist the Management Accountant in the smooth running of the Finance Department of the business.
* Under the supervision of the Management Accountant, process the weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
* Process and scan Supplier invoices.
* Ensuring that Finance systems are kept up to date with accurate data
* Following procedures for daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
* Understanding other roles within the business to assist with deputising and an overall business understanding.
* Flexible attitude to work, as a small family business.
* Be prepared to offer support in other areas of the business as and when required.
Main Activities/Duties:
* Maintenance of Purchase Ledger – posting Supplier invoices and matching to delivery paperwork.
* Sales invoicing
* Payroll preparation and Reporting
Aptitude/Skills required:
* High level of concentration, with attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to follow procedures
* Familiarity with accounting procedures and processes – advantageous
* Knowledge of Accounting Packages and spreadsheets – advantageous
* Ability to work to strict deadlines
Behaviour:
* Well organised and self-motivated
* Works well, both independently and as part of a team
* Possess the ability to communicate effectively, whilst maintaining confidentiality
* Remain calm under pressure
* Pay good attention to detail
* “Can do” attitude
* Must have some flexibility.

Hours of work
40 hour per week – Monday to Friday
Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm
Salary
Salary to be commensurate with experience.
