Direct Counsel is seeking a qualified Mid-Level Labor and Employment Law Associate to join a prestigious law firm in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience specializing in employment law matters, with at least two of those years focused specifically in California. Interested candidates should have the ambition, drive, and team-orientation to help grow and support a national practice.

Responsibilities:

Represent employers in employment law matters, covering litigation, advice, and counseling.

Handle discrimination, retaliation, and harassment law cases, as well as wrongful discharge actions.

Demonstrate expertise in wage and hour law with prior experience in class action suits.

Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.

Collaborate with the team to provide comprehensive legal solutions.

Requirements

Minimum of four years of relevant experience. (Min JD year is 2019)

Two years of specific experience in California employment law.

High level of academic achievement.

Excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

California Bar Admission.

Benefits

The base compensation for this position is $200,000 - $250,000, contingent upon factors such as qualifications, relevant experience, and industry expertise.
