FULL-TIME Veterinary Client Service Representative to join the team at Hixson Pet Wellness Center. We are a growing locally owned and managed niche practice with an emphasis on FEAR FREE scheduling and handling. Less stress for the pet and less stress for the owner leads to less stress for our team. We focus on medicine and do not offer boarding or grooming. We do have a Fear Free Certified trainer/behaviorist under contract for puppy training and working with cooperative care training for fearful patients.
A successful team member communicates cheerfully, clearly, and professionally both in person and on the phone, texting etiquette a plus. We are open 9-6 M - F and 9-2 on Saturday. Shifts start at 8:30 am to prepare for the day. Although we try to leave on time, occasionally we must stay to help close down after 6 pm depending on the schedule and individual cases. Alternate weekend availability a must. Desire to learn and improve skills encouraged at all levels and in all positions.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Greeting clients as they walk in
Answering multiple-line phone system
Scheduling appointments appropriately for our clinic
Obtaining patient records and maintaining current client information
Accuracy in relaying messages to team members and clients.
Payment transactions, balancing cash drawer and making deposit slips
Assisting the team with patient care: lifting patients, filling prescriptions, cleaning kennels, holding for nail trims and other procedures,
Recording all communication with clients: phone calls, in-person, text, emails
General Housekeeping: exam rooms, front lobby, assisting with cleaning in kennel/treatment area, laundry, dishes
Client Education
Learning and developing new protocols (Fear Free Certification, etc)
Requirements
At least one year as a receptionist in the medical or veterinary fields
Able to answer multiple phone lines
Customer service experience preferred
Benefits
Hourly wage range based on experience starting at $10 for no experience but willing to discuss $13 or more with a sign-on bonus if experienced in the veterinary field in this position.
401 k with employer matching
PTO prorated after 90 days
Paid Holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).

Continuing Education & Fear Free Certification after 6 mos.
