Happier is looking for professional Part-Time Event Staff who are passionate about the art of Hospitality to join our team. Responsibilities include serving food and beverages, maintaining the spaces during the event, helping prepare the event space, and cleaning up the event space once the affair is complete. You will work with guests to ensure they are comfortable during their time at the venue.

The ideal candidate will quickly be able to adapt to the brand, values, and culture of the company, evoking passion and excitement for the process in all involved while providing an upbeat and positive client and team experience. 99 Scott

99 Scott is a mixed-use venue located at the intersection of East Williamsburg and Bushwick. Comprised of three distinct settings featuring indoor and outdoor spaces, the venue is perfectly suited for creative events, private gatherings, and photo & film shoots. Established as a cultural hub, 99 Scott already supports the creative expression and various needs of our Fashion, Art, Culture, and Technology partners. A true representation of the Happier brand, 99 Scott operates to cater to our community.

WSA:

Operated and developed by Happier People Management, The Water Street Associates (WSA) Building is a modern workspace for the Fashion, Arts, Culture, and Technology industries. 700,000 sq. ft. of programming area, spread across 31 floors, will offer Health & Wellness, Dining, Retail, and the Arts intermixed with coworking spaces, offices, and a Members' community for a holistic experience. The WSA Building project will break down barriers between the public and the once-siloed office tower, expanding the cultural offerings of the neighborhood.

Responsibilities

Direct guests to necessary services and features and lead guests on tours of the location

Assist with event preparation, set up, and closing, including setting up and packing away tables, tablecloths, and place settings

Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction

Adhere to safety and quality regulations

Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area

Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment

Attend to the tables and guarantee compliance with cleanliness standards

Deliver checks and accept payment

Work with other staff as a team

Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality

Requirements

Proven work experience as an Event Staff Member or Restaurant Staff Member

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions

Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers and ensure mutual satisfaction

Customer-oriented and planning skills

Courteous and attentive to guests

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy objects

An essential part of the job is being available on a flexible schedule and being willing to work outside “office hours.” AM/PM service and nights, weekends, and holidays as required

There will be a variable working schedule

The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $20.00 (tipped) – 35.00 (non tipped) hourly. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
