Job Description

The General Production Manager (GPM) is responsible for overseeing the various department(s) of responsibility and for meeting Department/Company goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity, cost, and safety.

Responsible for the development and training of Supervisors and TEAM members, working within the guidelines of Company Policies, to meet the current and future needs of the Company.

Responsible for quick and timely feedback to Plant/Shift Manager on all exceptions regarding productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost and safety, and managing the correction of areas which are out of acceptable parameters. 

Ensure department compliance within Company policies, law, and regulations which include USDA, SSOP and HACCP programs, and all OSHA required safety programs.

Ensure the safety of our TEAM members is maintained by overseeing the administration of safety orientations, training, and meetings as required, to assist in attaining zero incidents.

Participate in department meetings in the planning process, along with the testing and development of techniques/processes.

Ensure proper maintenance of Company assets; make recommendations for acquiring necessary items to support business objectives.
