Job Description
Forklift Operators are responsible to load and unload trailers. 95% of your time is spent on the forklift working with a team of other operators in an open, cross dock environment.
2am Tuesday-Friday & 5am Saturday Start:
Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of materials and products handled, making note of quantities, locations, and any damages or discrepancies.
Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets with precision, ensuring that goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.
Dock Management: Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the dock area, including removing debris and obstructions, and ensuring clear pathways for equipment and personnel.
Quality Control: Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for any visible damage, report discrepancies, and work with the team to resolve issues.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations and participate in safety training.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, report any defects or issues, and help with recharging batteries or changing propane tanks.
