Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer (Senior-Level) to join our team at Fort Stewart, GA. 

Must be a US Citizen 

DoD Secret Clearance required

Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting the US Army’s Southeastern Regional Network Enterprise Center at Fort Stewart, GA. This role involves serving as a highly skilled technical leader responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of complex IT systems that support the Army’s mission-critical operations.

The Engineer will lead the development and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensure system security and reliability, and provide advanced technical expertise to support a wide range of network and system requirements.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization environments. 

Develop and implement scalable and secure system solutions that meet the NEC’s operational and strategic objectives. 

Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of new systems and technologies into the existing IT infrastructure. 

Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of systems, applications, and services within the Army’s network environment. 

Monitor and manage the performance, availability, and security of IT systems, identifying and resolving issues proactively. 

Optimize system performance through regular updates, patches, and tuning to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime. 

Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect systems and data.

Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. 

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 

Serve as a subject matter expert, advising NEC leadership on system design, upgrades, and emerging technologies. 

Lead and manage complex IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. 

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project execution. 

Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for complex system issues, including incident response and root cause analysis. 

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems configurations, processes, and procedures. 

Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of IT systems in the event of disruptions. 

Regularly test and update recovery plans to ensure their effectiveness in maintaining operations during emergencies. 

Collaborate with other IT teams, including network engineers, security specialists, and application developers, to ensure a cohesive approach to system management. 

Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
