Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented Mid-Level Civil Engineer to join our New England Transportation business line. The ideal candidate will be part of the New England Rail System Group located in Rocky Hill, CT. Candidate will be responsible for a variety of engineering tasks including, but not limited to conceptual engineering, design, planning, final engineering, constructability, and cost estimating.
The ideal candidate will bring their experience working with CTDOT, Metro-North, MBTA, and Amtrak, or other passenger/commuter railroad agencies along with working knowledge of applicable AREMA, IEEE, NESC and other industry standards.
Duties will include:
Working with a team on various engineering projects.
Perform engineering design and calculations.
Perform design of overhead catenary systems, track and other systems on a railroad.
Reviews track designs prepared by others.
Develops estimates for the OCS and track engineering budgets.
Assists in determining schedules to perform work.
Coordinates with multiple departments related to a projects scope of work.
Develop procurement specifications.
Perform field inspections.
