Job Title: SMT Operator
Location: Kings Langley
Salary/Rate: £30,000 to £35,000 (plus shift allowance)

Are you an experienced SMT Operator seeking a new challenge in a dynamic and innovative environment? A leading electronics manufacturing company in Hertfordshire, commutable from Watford, Luton, Hemel Hempstead and St. Albans is looking for a skilled professional to join their team.

In this role, the SMT Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines to assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Key responsibilities for the SMT Operator include:
- Preparing and maintaining SMT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Conducting quality inspections of assembled PCBs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.

Required skills/experience for the SMT Operator:
- Proven experience as an SMT Operator within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of SMT assembly processes and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Capable of performing hand assembly and soldering
- Ideal to have IPC 610 certification

This role will work on the later shift of 14:00 to 22:30.
