Overview:
Expected pay for this position is $18.43 - $21.69/hour. Base pay offered may increase based on experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The instrument technician-Surgery will be responsible for detailed knowledge of the inter-departmental needs between OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department. They will coordinate/communicate daily instrument needs with OR mission partners and team leaders. Must be competent in proper cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting of instrumentation. Must be proficient and responsible for all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process, as well and handling Biologic Indicator testing as needed.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
2 years sterile processing experience OR Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization
Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
