Overview:
ACQUISITION AND ORGANIC MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (FS&S):
Bowhead seeks an Acquisition and Organic Maintenance Management Specialist to support our Facilities, Services & Supply (FS&S) contract in Stafford, VA.
Responsibilities:
Provide advice, guidance, and assistance to the command, equipment commodity managers, and maintenance commodity managers.
Oversee all maintenance management programs, policies, and procedures.
Analyze maintenance and the maintenance management functional areas to ensure the effective use of equipment, maintenance, and material.
Plan for the management of maintenance operations.
Review maintenance related reports.
Advise the AO on maintenance related matters.
Conduct maintenance training.
Conduct maintenance inspections.
Monitor supply levels.
Monitor equipment status.
Prepare maintenance standard operating procedures.
Review unit Table of Organization / Equipment.
Identify organic / non-organic maintenance capabilities.
Monitor maintenance related programs (e.g., corrosion control, modifications, etc).
Supervise hazardous materials and waste program.
Validate maintenance administration policies/procedures.
Coordinate maintenance related publication requirements.
Perform functions of the maintenance automated information systems (MAIS).
Review maintenance automated information systems (MAIS) data.
Track equipment maintenance production reporting.
Prepare maintenance management correspondence.
Maintain maintenance management correspondence / files.
Maintain appropriate maintenance management related inspection requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or BA/BS preferred
Four (4) to eight (8) of relevant work experience
Shall have requisite and extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities in Marine Corps maintenance management demonstrated by experience in multiple positions.
Desired Skills:
Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 10-20 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust clearance at this location.
