Overview:
Assists in the operation of the classrooms according to State and local governing agencies, Center policies, NCRLAP (ITERS/ECERS) guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the creation and development of a developmentally appropriate curriculum for the classroom meeting the cognitive, physical, social & emotional needs of the individual child.
Assists in the planning and preparation of the learning environment. Prepares needed materials and supplies.
Assists in the operation of the classrooms according to State and local governing agencies, Center policies, NCRLAP (ITERS/ECERS) guidelines.
Uses positive guidance techniques.
Supervises classroom in the absence of Lead Teacher.
Communicates regularly and effectively with parents.
Helps maintain necessary documentation and records
Qualifications:
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift children. Ability to move quickly in emergency situations, and interact energetically with children. Ability to withstand extensive standing, stooping, bending, and squatting. Ability to communicate with other individuals. Potential exposure to communicable diseases and/or blood/body fluids.
