The Supervisor, Inventory Control's role is to take a leadership role in the efforts of the Inventory Management department to maintain integrity of customer inventory and utilize department resources effectively.
Full Time On Site opportunity based out of our Charlestown, Indiana location.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Determine forward-positioned stock requirements and parameters.
Understanding of client expectations and importance of inventory accuracy relative to the business.
Take an active role in staff supervision and task management.
Work with Inventory Manager to assess department staff strengths and areas needing improvement.
Perform visual inspections of warehouse and staging locations and address potential issues.
Ability to execute reconciliations and report findings – product and/or customer- specific.
Review transactions daily for system or procedural errors.
Alert Client Services of inactive inventory and pursue timely disposition.
Able to process and analyze cycle count results and escalate where appropriate based on tolerances, client expectations, activity and adherence to SOP’s.
Effective and discreet (written and oral) communication with multiple departments.
Conduct training where necessary to improve performance within Inventory and other affected departments.
Job could require travel to other Knipper facilities.
Will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include; training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; motivating, developing and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving conflicts.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training: High School Diploma
Business Experience:
Two years of experience in Inventory Management, preferably in a Distribution environment.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Intermediate-Level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent written and verbal Communication skills.
