Are you passionate about aviation and dedicated to guiding aspiring pilots towards excellence? We are seeking a motivated and experienced Certified Flight Instructor to join our team in Price, Utah. As a pivotal member of our flight training program, you will provide invaluable leadership and direction to flight students, fostering their growth and development in this dynamic field.

Responsibilities:

Supervise Flight Training Activities: Oversee and coordinate flight training activities, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to established protocols.

Evaluate Flight Performance: Monitor and assess the performance of flight students, providing constructive feedback and guidance to facilitate their progress.

Provide Guidance to Lead Flight Instructors: Offer support and advice to lead flight instructors, leveraging your expertise to enhance instructional quality and effectiveness.

Conduct Assessments and Proficiency Checks: Perform stage checks, end-of-course tests, and flight instructor proficiency checks to uphold rigorous standards of competence and safety.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), maintaining a culture of safety and adherence to industry standards.

Support Standardization Efforts: Assist in conducting initial and annual recurrent standardization of flight instructors, promoting consistency and excellence in teaching practices.

Contribute to Teaching Techniques: Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized teaching techniques and procedures, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Engage with Prospective Students: Interview prospective students and parents, articulating program offerings and fostering a welcoming and informative experience.

Monitor Student Progress: Monitor the progress of students and maintain accurate student training records, facilitating personalized support and tracking achievement.

Promote Safety Awareness: Maintain the safety manual and assist in teaching safety classes on campus, at airports, or as directed, prioritizing a culture of safety and risk mitigation.

Facilitate Staff Meetings: Schedule and lead meetings with flight instructor staff, fostering collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.

Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of the flight training program.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Hold Airplane Certified Flight Instructor Certificates.

Hold Ground Instructor Certificate

Meet Pilot in Command (PIC) recent flight experience requirements as outlined in FAR Part 61.57, underscoring the commitment to maintaining currency and proficiency.

Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills, essential for conveying complex aviation concepts effectively and fostering a conducive learning environment.

Exhibit the ability to work with diverse audiences, recognizing and adapting to individual learning styles and needs to ensure inclusive and effective instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with G1000 avionics systems, highlighting proficiency in modern cockpit technology and enhancing instructional capabilities in advanced aircraft environments.

Familiarity with the Diamond DA40 aircraft, indicating specialized knowledge that contributes to comprehensive flight instruction and student success.

Experience teaching in a 141 environment, showcasing familiarity with structured training programs and adherence to rigorous curriculum standards.

Previous experience providing flight instruction, demonstrating a proven track record of effective teaching and mentorship in a flight training setting.

Clear record of compliance with aviation regulations, evidenced by a history free of deviations or violations, reflecting a commitment to safety and regulatory adherence.
