Position: Tow and Transport Dispatching Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tow and Transport Dispatching Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. As a Tow and Transport Dispatching Operator, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching tow and transport requests, ensuring timely and efficient service for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles to designated locations

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while loading, securing, and unloading vehicles

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tow truck to ensure it is in safe working condition

- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of all tows and transports

- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the tow truck

- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of the tow truck as needed

Requirements:

- Valid Driver's License

- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug test

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in various weather conditions

- Receive and process incoming calls and requests for towing and transportation services

- Gather all necessary information from customers, including vehicle location, type, and destination

- Dispatch appropriate tow truck or transport vehicle based on customer needs and availability

- Communicate with drivers to provide them with detailed information about the job and any special instructions

- Monitor and track the status of all active jobs to ensure timely completion

- Handle any customer inquiries or complaints with professionalism and provide resolution as needed

- Maintain accurate records of all dispatches, including customer information, job details, and driver assignments

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations

- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Qualifications:

- Valid Driver's License

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position and due to the nature of our business, some evening, weekend, and vacation work may be required. The job may also involve sitting for extended periods, working in a noisy environment, and occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
