Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Physical Therapist (PT) to join our talented team. As a Physical Therapist at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. The location is in West Bridgewater, MA

The working schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

The duration is 13 weeks as a contractor or temp to perm

The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer

Weekend Rotation: None

On-call requirements: None

Vacation Requirements: As needed

Floating requirements: None

Key Responsibilities:

Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons

Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about

Develop an individualized treatment plan

Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition

Use hands-on therapy such as massage to ease patients pain and provide stimulation to promote healing

Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly

Advise patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process

Communication skills for communicating diagnoses, test results and available treatments in terms that clients and their families can understand

Compassion when working with individuals frustrated by the difficulties they are experiencing

Critical thinking skills for adjusting treatment plans as required and identifying alternative ways to help

Attention to detail for maintaining notes on treatment and progress

Listening skills for listening to concerns and symptoms of clients so they can decide the most appropriate course of treatment

Qualifications:

Valid Physical Therapy state license

1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience in a nursing home or rehab setting

BLS Certification
