Position: Health and Safety Officer

Our Client, a leading company in Indiana, USA, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and federal regulations

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace

- Investigate accidents and incidents, and provide recommendations for preventative measures

- Train and educate employees on health and safety protocols and procedures

- Maintain accurate records of all safety incidents and ensure compliance with reporting requirements

- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills

- Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions and recommend improvements to promote a safe and healthy work environment

- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations to ensure compliance

- Conduct safety meetings and provide regular reports to management on safety performance

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations

- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) is a plus
