We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our team, supporting the smooth and efficient running of our school premises. This role requires a flexible and proactive individual who is fit and healthy, with previous experience in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the daily operations of the school site, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, safe, and secure.
Managing and performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the school buildings and grounds.
Opening and closing the school as part of a split shift rota, ensuring security protocols are followed.
Supporting the delivery of school events, setting up and taking down equipment when necessary.
Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the school premises.
Assisting with waste management, deliveries, and general site tasks as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a school or similar environment.
Ability to work a split shift rota, including early mornings and evenings.
A fit and healthy individual, capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and outdoor work.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo a DBS check before employment).
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours:
This role is based on a split shift pattern, typically including early morning starts and late afternoon finishes to ensure coverage throughout the school day
