First People Solutions is currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor, working on a significant Rail Civils Renewal Framework in Scotland. This is an excellent chance to be involved in key projects with values ranging from £500k to £3m. Your first project will be a Rail Bridge Replacement, playing an essential role in enhancing Scotland's rail infrastructure.

The Role:

As a Site Engineer, you'll report to the Project Manager/Site Agents and take responsibility for the planning and execution of site-based work across Scotland. You'll play a key part in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing Site Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards for all site activities
Reviewing and interpreting project drawings and specifications for site-based activity
Handling setting out and surveying works to ensure accurate and professional execution
Supervising labour, plant, and subcontractors to keep the project running smoothly
Organising the daily and weekly planning of site activities, including creating and reviewing necessary documentation like Risk Assessments and Work Package Plans
Maintaining detailed records of site activitiesWhy This Role Could Be for You:

What We're Looking For:

Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications
Experience in setting out and surveying on civil engineering projects
Proven ability in the planning and delivery of site works, including production and review of Inspection Test Plans and Work Package PlansWhat's In It For You:
