Our client, an ambitious diagnostic manufacturer and developer based in Alloa is seeking a Permanent Production Scientist (4 days) with experience in Medical Devices or GMP to join their team in Alloa. The Production Scientist will be responsible for preparing buffers/solutions, pad materials, and assembling lateral flow tests, along with equipment maintenance and test assembly. The ideal candidate will have practical laboratory experience, accurate documentation skills, and technical knowledge in Microsoft Office. A BSc, HND, or HNC in a technical discipline are desired. The successful candidate should be motivated, capable of meeting deadlines, committed to continual improvement, and able to work effectively in a small team.
The main duties include:
Conducting lateral flow test manufacture
Preparing buffer solutions, pad materials and assemble lateral flow tests
Performing equipment maintenance and calibration
Write and update manufacture procedures
Conducting Validation batch manufacture and complete Validation paperwork
Other duties as required, such as incoming goods booking, stock checking
