Senior Claims Manager

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 09.00am till 5.00pm with 1 hour lunch.

Salary: £35k to £40K

We are working on an exciting opportunity for a specialist Agriculture, Farming and Commercial Insurance Broker who are recruiting for a Senior Claims Manager.

The Senior Claims Manager is a critical role within the company. You will be responsible for managing the entire claims process, from receipt to settlement, to ensure efficient and accurate payment of claims.

As the Claim’s Manager you will oversee and have complete responsibility of all Commercial, Agricultural and Personal Lines Business, ensuring that claims are processed accurately and efficiently.

The role involves reviewing and evaluating claims, implementing policies and procedures, and communicating with Clients, Loss adjusters, and Account handlers. You will exercise strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist clients with enquiries relating to claims, either by direct involvement with the insurer concerned, or providing contact names and telephone numbers for clients own direct contact.

* Ensuring claims are processed efficiently and correctly by working closely with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, brokers, claimants or their representatives, and relevant departments.

* Chase outstanding claims regularly as appropriate

* Ensure payments received on behalf of customers are passed promptly to the customers in respect of their settlement.

* Achieve and maintain a prominent level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care at all times.

* Supervise claims handlers and provide guidance and support as needed.

* Review and evaluate claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.

* Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of claims processing.

* Communicate with clients, loss adjusters and claim handlers to manage claims effectively.

* Identify and resolve challenges and issues related to claims processing and conclude satisfactory settlement.

Requirements

* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Senior Claims Management Role or related field

* Minimum of 5 years; experience with a Claims Role

* Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

* Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims management software (Acturis)

Working Conditions

The job role is officed based with normal working hours being Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm (including 1 Hour for Lunch). On occasions you may be required to work longer hours or weekends to meet deadlines or manage emergencies.

Salary and Benefits

* £35,000- £40,000 per annum depending upon experience

* 25 Days Holiday plus 8 days bank holiday (increasing through length of service)
