Engineering Manager

Responsible for successfully delivering engineering activities to time, cost and quality across all engineering aspects of the Sonobuoys portfolio.
Lead a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that solutions meet requirements and are fit for purpose.
The Sonobuoys portfolio spans new product development, in -service support and products that are already in production.
This role will suit someone with a background in Sonar or Acoustics, who has extensive experience of work package management.

Ideally you will have:
Experience of managing teams of teams
Experience of engineering estimation, with the ability to review, challenge and defend estimates
Created Work Breakdown Structures and defined delivery strategies
Experience of producing engineering plans with dependencies, assumptions, risk and opportunities identified, communicated and managed
An understanding of the different design gates a project goes through, from bid to full scale production readiness review
A background in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with an understanding of Software and Systems engineering
Coaching and/or mentoring experience
This role requires eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance (ideally with no caveats).

This is a hybrid role giving you the flexibility to balance working from home and being on-site as necessary, with occasional UK travel. To be successful in the is role you are likely to need to be regularly on site at Greenford e.g. a couple of days per week.

Salary: £80K - £90K (+ relocation assistance)
