Hardware Engineer

This role offers the chance to work as a Complex Electronic Hardware Certification Engineer within the Radar Equipment Design Responsibility team, supporting Complex Electronic Hardware development efforts for the E-Scan Radar programme. You will collaborate with the Radar Equipment Supplier, as well as various engineering disciplines, to ensure the successful delivery of radar programmes, with a focus on quality, safety, and timeliness.
You will be part of a small team, managing all Radar Complex Electronic Hardware activities, which will require a strong systems engineering background. Experience with radar systems and Complex Electronic Hardware development in line with RTCA DO-254 standards is ideal, though training will be provided. Strong communication and project management skills are essential, as well as the ability to handle a dynamic workload.
Regular travel within the UK and Europe is required.
The electronics Hardware Engineer will be resposibile for the ;-
Review supplier Data Requirement Lists.
Support the resolution of Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) related issues
Review CEH declarations and evidence in clearance documentation
Generate CEH Summary Reports for formal Radar Software releases
Support Certification Authority-led CEH Stage of Involvement audits at European supplier sites
Required Skills and Experience:
A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience (preferably with Software or Systems Engineering focus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
A proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience or knowledge of radar systems is highly desirable
