Workshop and Design Technician
We are working with a established engineering design company based in north Leominster, seeking a Workshop Technician on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will get the chance to work and learn from an inspiring team of engineers, assisting in the organisation, safety, preparation and assembly of exciting engineering projects.

What you can expect:

* Starting salary: Circa £27’000 per annum

* Working hours: Days/ 40 hours per week Monday – Friday

* Onsite parking

What you will be doing:

* Assisting with site safety, including tool checks, risk assessments and general repairs

* Coordination of the workshop including the supply of materials for an array of specialised engineering projects

* Assisting with project prototypes, assembly work and the design process, utilising an array of hand tools and engineering machinery, including welding and spraying, working on 3D printing and associated materials

What we are looking for:

* Demonstrates a hands-on, practical approach, eager to support the building of prototypes and test new designs in our workshop

* The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification (HNC or HND or a degree), but attitude/engagement is more important

* Computer literacy with experience using CAD or similar

* Candidates who can demonstrate an outside interest that will enhances their skill set will be considered

* Eager to process, with opportunity to be in oversee and assist in the workshop activities and improve efficiencies

* Own transport will be essential due to the location
