Position Overview:

We're seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in translating survey data into accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, supporting our engineering projects across various water-related infrastructures. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in AutoCAD and processing, capable of delivering high-quality technical drawings while embracing innovation and sustainability in design.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Excellence and Innovation

* Process and analyse data from water infrastructure and environmental sites.

* Develop 2D and 3D AutoCAD designs including site plans, piping layouts, topographical maps, and process flow diagrams.

* Champion innovation in CAD techniques and point cloud data utilisation, promoting best practices across disciplines.

Project Support and Collaboration

* Support Lead Engineers in producing high-quality technical drawings and 3D models.

* Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure accurate representation of site conditions.

* Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to technological advancement discussions.

Quality Assurance and Data Management

* Implement and adhere to quality control processes for all CAD outputs.

* Ensure compliance with company standards, client specifications, and industry regulations in all technical drawings.

* Verify that final deliverables meet customer requirements and specifications.

Continuous Learning and Development

* Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD software, techniques, and relevant technologies.

* Participate in training sessions and share knowledge with team members.

* Contribute to the company's efforts in adopting new technologies and methodologies

Qualifications:

* Qualified to HNC level would be advantageous, but not necessary

* Good knowledge in the use of AutoCAD & 3D modelling

* Keen focus on quality whilst also be able to work at pace within a multi-disciplinary team

* Working knowledge of BIM would be highly advantageous

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* UK Driving Licence
