New Directions Liverpool is partnering with a small, one-form entry primary school in Wavertree to recruit a passionate and committed primary school teacher for a full-time position in a Year 1 class. Whether you are an experienced educator or a newly qualified teacher, this role offers a unique opportunity to join a close-knit school community dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child.

The school has recently made a significant investment in expanding its outdoor learning provision, reflecting its commitment to innovative and holistic education. The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity to utilise this dynamic outdoor space to foster a love of learning in the natural environment. This initiative is designed to enhance student's academic, social, and emotional development by integrating outdoor experiences into the curriculum.

As a KS1 Teacher you'll be expected to:

Teach all areas of the school curriculum.
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
Maintain discipline.
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil's development.
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.To apply the candidate must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Able to provide Referees.
An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
