Overall purpose of the Job:
To work with the current Procurement and Materials Planning Specialist to ensure sufficient stock level of each raw material on site (acids, feedstocks, additives, plastic packaging) to support the manufacturing plan/ ensuring enough space on site to discharge tanks & unload trucks.
This will require daily communication across both internal teams and external suppliers
Responsibilities and duties:
Materials Planning
Via integrated teams meetings – Operations, Commercial, logistics and customer services
Raising Purchase Orders, both direct and indirect
Planning & Executing Supplier Delivery Management (Expedite and replanning deliveries)
Exception messages.
Purchase Order Price and delivery date amendment.
Yard Scheduling.
Updating to and schedule additions for both inbound and outbound bulk materials.
Invoice query resolution.
Quantity, Price and GRN issue.
Support Supplier review meetings.
Planning and ordering safety stocks.
Working closely with manufacturing to understand run rates looking up to eight weeks out.
Attend weekly SIOP and Sales and Production meetings.
Reconciliation of invoices against shipments.
Ensure that health and safety guidelines and practices are maintained and developed.
Experience Required:
Minimum of three years’ experience in manufacturing raw materials planning and purchasing role.
Proficient in data entry using ERP systems – SAP/Syteline etc.
Supply Chain experience.
Hours:
Days.
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Office based.
6 months FTC.
