Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our clients team at their Harlow distribution centre. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. You will be responsible for handling, moving, and managing goods in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Picking, packing, and processing orders accurately and efficiently.
* Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
* Moving stock around the warehouse using manual handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks).
* Conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
* Ensuring work areas are clean, tidy, and compliant with safety regulations.
* Assisting with goods inwards, including receiving, inspecting, and checking the quality of items.
* Working as part of a team to meet productivity and performance targets.
* Reporting any issues with equipment, inventory discrepancies, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
* Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
Skills and Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment is preferred but not essential.
* Physically fit and capable of handling heavy goods.
* Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
* A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if required.
Working Hours:
Full-time hours with flexible shifts
