Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Leicester

Vertical Recruitment are currently working with an exciting progressive engineering consultancy focused on building services across a wide range of projects nationwide. They have a young director team that puts client satisfaction, and their staffs work life balance first.

On offer is a new role in their main office in Leicester City Centre. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be acting as a project lead of the mechanical design team. Projects include healthcare, education, residential, high rise, commercial and heritage buildings.

Reporting to the Associate Director, you will be part of close knitted team with an excellent working culture, hybrid working (2x a week), flexible working hours and an impressive 9 day working fortnight meaning extra days off.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and growing the mechanical design team promoting consultation and collaboration within the team.

* Full detailed mechanical design by themselves or as lead of project group.

* Actively participate in design verification process for the team as well as checking and signing off junior/intermediate engineers designs.

* Ensure good working relationships are established and maintained with clients whilst actively seeking opportunities for new and profitable business.

The Person

* Ability to manage multiple projects to meet all assigned deadlines.

* Proficient with AutoCAD, Hevacomp and ideally but not essential Revit.

* Ideally a minimum of 6 years within mechanical design.

* Ideally experience leading a team but not essential
