Berkshire Talent Partnership are proud to be working with a leading infrastructure and energy developer.
Reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the business project portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around meticulous project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, reporting, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. With a keen eye for detail, you will identify critical paths and ensure the smooth execution of electrical works within the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Collaborate with the engineering, project management and construction team to create comprehensive and realistic project plans, considering all aspects of the project.
Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed schedules using Primavera P6, optimising resource allocation and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
Progress Tracking: Implement robust progress tracking mechanisms to monitor the project's performance and promptly address any deviations from the plan.
Reporting: Prepare clear and concise project reports for stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators, milestones achieved, and potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance project planning and execution efficiency.
Critical Path Analysis: Conduct critical path analysis to identify the most time-sensitive activities, providing insights to the project team for better decision-making.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience of complex projects with a high mechanical, electrical, building services components.
* Demonstrable experience in employment with a reputable construction, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), or contracting company
* Proficiency in Primavera P6 is a must, with a track record of successfully planning and managing complex engineering projects.
* It would be advantageous to have strong technical knowledge of Gas Peaking, Gas Turbine, Large Scale Renewable Schemes and associated engineering practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to adapt swiftly to changing project requirements and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in project plans and progress tracking
