Technical Finance Business Analyst - Insurance - Permanent - Hybrid/London

A London Market Specialty Insurer is looking for a Technical Finance Business Analyst to join them on a permanent basis and play a key role in their Finance Transformation Programme.

You will be working closely with the finance team and will be responsible for understanding and assessing the changing needs within this part of the business as they are currently rearchitecting their General Ledger and act as a bridge between technical and finance teams.

The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in finance systems, a solid understanding of accounting concepts and principles, and experience working closely with finance teams. An accounting/finance background or related qualifications are highly beneficial.

The role is permanent, paying up to £70,000 base + benefits and requires 3 days a week working from their London's office.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and assessing the changing need of the finance team and being able to convey all the gathered requirements to different departments
  • Develop proposals and business cases for the finance technology initiatives by translating their need into solutions to help the organization achieve its goals
  • Documenting system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop a change management/training plan
  • Review, maintain, and suggest modifications as appropriate, to the current procedures and processes

Requirements:

  • Experience as Technical Business Analyst working on Finance Transformation Programme, ideally from the Lloyd's/London specialty insurance
  • Proven track-record in working on delivery of complex finance-oriented technology implementation projects across vendor system implementation, integration and custom build solutions
  • Knowledge of finance systems, finance function, accounting concepts and principals
  • Experience in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate scope and finances
  • Strong relationship management skills across all levels of the business
