Are you interested in helping one of the UK's largest Police Forces transform and support their new and changing technology needs?
Staffordshire Police are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join them and help ensuring the security, integrity, availability and performance of the Force's network and communications infrastructure in live operational use;
- Covering the Force's Airwave infrastructure, data network infrastructure, voice and video infrastructure and Firewall and gateway infrastructure.
- Supporting the transition of new/changed infrastructure from development and test environments
- Providing expert network and communication infrastructure knowledge to force projects and change initiatives as required
As the Cyber Security Engineer you will be responsible for the management configuration and support of all IT security measures, such as system logs, Firewall policies, virus protection, Internet access, encryption, PKI, confidential systems, identity management and gateways.
About you
You have experience working in a 2nd line Cyber Security role, supporting infrastructure across a secure environment.
Educated to Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in a related ICT discipline. You will have one or more recognised security qualifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or equivalent.
Experience with GIRR or SyAp, Security Management, NIST and NCSC Guidelines, Microsoft security certifications, NESSUS application or equivalent, experience in MS Sentinel, experience working with a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal are a given.
