Data Architect - Defence Consultancy

Hampshire - Hybrid 2 days a week on site

Salary - £80k - £100K + Excellent benefits

You will join the engineering team of a highly regarded Defence Technology consultancy. As a Data Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping their clients' data strategies and designing innovative solutions to tackle complex data problems.

Your Mission:

• Develop data-intensive solutions that drive business growth for Defence clients
• Design and architect data pipelines and platforms for structured and unstructured data applications
• Collaborate with data engineers to deliver solutions that meet client needs
• Support Client Managers in pre-sales activities to develop relationships and solutions
• Contribute to capability development through involvement in business development activities and technical bid creation

Requirements:

• Degree-level qualification in a STEM subject or equivalent experience
• Experience in Data Architecture and Strategy in a UK Defence or Public Sector context
• Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data and techniques for exploiting them
• Experience working with Data and Software Engineers to deliver complex data solutions
• Agile Framework experience
• Appreciation of cloud solutions and traditionally hosted systems

Nice to Have:

• Experience building data pipelines in a Cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of commercial and contractual frameworks
• Scrum-master and/or Product Owner experience
