Key Responsibilities:
* Client Engagement: Conduct client meetings to understand their requirements, budgets, and event goals. Prepare tailored quotes, proposals, and visualisations to meet these needs.
* AV Setup and Support: Manage the setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment for live events, including sound, lighting, video displays, and staging.
* Technical Expertise: Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during live events, ensuring the highest standards of sound, lighting, and video display quality are met.
* Venue Collaboration: Work closely with the hotel’s management and event teams to maintain a strong relationship, ensuring smooth coordination and communication to meet the venue’s high standards. Cultivating this relationship is crucial to aligning with the hotel’s operational goals and ensuring seamless service delivery.
* Proposal Development: Create detailed proposals and visualisations using industry-standard software (e.g. CAD, WYSIWYG), aligned with client goals and hotel standards.
* Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance, storage, and inventory of AV equipment on-site. Ensure all equipment is in excellent working condition and ready for use.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Experience: Previous experience working in-house at hotel conference centres or similar venues, handling client-facing responsibilities and AV solutions for live events.
* Technical Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with sound, lighting, and video display technologies is essential. Familiarity with visualisation software such as CAD and WYSIWYG is also required.
* Client-Focused: Proven ability to engage with clients, deliver clear proposals, and meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
* Venue Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with the venue’s staff and management, understanding the importance of collaboration to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
* Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence and experience driving a van is required.
* Desirable Skills: Experience with rigging and basic electrics would be advantageous.
