Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Leaving Care Personal Advisor for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will support care leavers in their transition to independence by providing tailored advice, guidance, and practical assistance across key areas such as education, employment, housing, and personal development.

About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

Manage a caseload of care leavers, developing and reviewing individual Pathway Plans.
Provide advice, guidance, and practical support on areas such as education, training, employment, accommodation, and health.
Conduct Pathway Assessments in partnership with young people, social workers, carers, and other professionals.
Assist care leavers in developing life skills for independent living, including budgeting, cooking, and managing their health.
Ensure Pathway Plans are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect the changing needs and goals of each young person.

About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

Experience working directly with children in care or young people leaving care, either as individuals or in groups.
Experience in conducting Pathway Assessments and creating Pathway Plans for young people.
Experience providing support in areas such as education, employment, housing, and health care for vulnerable young people.
Experience providing advice and guidance on financial assistance and navigating welfare systems for care leavers.

What's on offer:
Salary: £19+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
