Job Title: Design Manager
Location: Bedfordshire
Salary Range: £55,000 - £75,000

With recent project successes, they are now seeking a highly qualified Design Manager with a background in Architectural Metalwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Interaction: Lead and manage client interactions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Project Alignment: Analyze project requirements and ensure they align with detailing teams.
- Team Management: Supervise subcontract detailing and engineering teams to deliver compliant drawings and calculations.
- Communication: Manage design discussions, calls, and meetings with clients, detailers, and engineers.
- Documentation Management: Update and maintain design programs and registers.
- Quality Assurance: Review Fabrication Packs to ensure all latest drawings and specifications are included.
- Budget Monitoring: Track budget allowances during the design process and highlight potential issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers and Commercial Managers to align project requirements with budgets.
- Technical Proficiency: Required skills include Tekla.
- Industry Expertise: Experience leading designs in the Balconies/Architectural Metalwork industries is preferred.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of architectural metalwork, particularly balconies, balustrades, etc.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills within teams.
- Team Management: Proven experience managing both internal and external draughtsmen.
