We are currently seeking a team of Support Workers and Care Assistants, to work with our complex care client living in their own home, in Shoeburyness.
Our client is a 62-year-old female, who has suffered a spinal cord injury resulting in paralysis. The client also has a fitted tracheostomy and invasive ventilation. She is passionate about gardening, enjoys going out into the community and appreciates meaningful conversations.
At present, we have day and night shifts available, including weekends. Your role as a Support Worker would include, but not be limited to, assisting with the client’s day or night time routine, assisting with any clinical intervention required throughout the shift, providing personal care, administering medication and during a day shift regularly accessing the community.
Shift requirements
This will be a 0-hour contract, the rota will be issued depending on the existing teams’ availability therefore, flexibility, including weekend availability, is essential.
The day shift will begin at 08:00 am and finish at 20:00pm. The night shift will begin at 20:00pm and finish at 08:00 am.
All shifts are 2:1.

Requirements
6 months of professional care experience in the UK based in a healthcare setting.
Previous experience working with complex care clients, including clients with a tracheostomy.
Someone flexible and able to offer availability with short notice including weekend shifts.
The desired candidate will be willing to learn and get stuck in with the role. Someone passionate can adapt to different situations and has experience with clients with similar needs.
