Shift Manager - Afternoon shift

Monday to Friday 2pm - 1-pm

£28,400 plus 5% shift allowance

This job description outlines the role of a Supervisor in charge of overseeing cleaning and waste operations within the company. The role is focused on ensuring the delivery of high-quality services through effective supervision, team motivation, and process improvements while maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

Plan and supervise cleaning and waste activities, ensuring timely service delivery.

Conduct quality, health, and safety audits.

Ensure staff are trained in safety protocols and adhering to job-specific safety measures.

Manage staff timekeeping, attendance, and performance.

Collaboration:

Develop and motivate team members through effective communication.

Maintain strong relationships with line managers and clients.

Empowerment:

Identify and resolve issues effectively.

Ensure staff receive adequate training.

Present information to management, colleagues, and customers.

Continuous Improvement:

Participate in reviews and meetings to gauge customer satisfaction.

Promote products and services to customers.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential: Supervisory experience, relevant experience in cleaning and waste, health and safety knowledge, IT proficiency, problem-solving skills.

Desirable: HNC or equivalent, experience using systems, analytical and motivational qualities
