Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Plant Modification Proposal Technical Author in Warrington.
Location: Warrington or Cumbria HYBRID Split of 3/2 days, Travel occasionally required.
Type: Ongoing 6 months to 3+ years
Rate: £45.00 - £60.00 per hour UMB (Inside IR35)
You will be reporting to the Plant Modification Proposal Manager and working on variety of Civil Nuclear Engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage high-quality technical documents in line with project requirements.
Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and installation method statements.
Identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures in relation to nuclear and conventional safety, environmental and waste management, construction, and operational activities.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate, clear, and compliant documentation.
Contribute to risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Work within a highly collaborative project environment, requiring strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
A proven background in Technical Authoring / Technical Writing on complex engineering projects.
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, Installation Method statements and Risk assessments
Familiarity with construction and engineering practices, preferably within a nuclear setting (other highly regulated industry experience will be considered.)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Security Clearance (SC) is required for this role - can start with BPSS
