GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful and highly recognised leading international manufacturer located on the outskirts of Worcester. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This position is working on 4 rotating shifts:

06:00am-14:00pm
14:00pm- 22:00pm
10:00am – 18:00pm
07:30am – 15:30pm

Please only apply if you can commit to the 4 weeks rotation shift patterns.

Salary on offer for this role is £39,520 plus shift allowance (£47,424)

As Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for executing a broad range of complex and skilled tasks to ensure the efficient operation and preventative maintenance of production equipment.

You will take ownership of smaller projects, applying your mechanical expertise to diagnose and repair issues across various systems, including but not limited to pneumatic and hydraulic components of production machinery.

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in Maintenance or similar role with strong skills in programming, fault finding, and diagnosis.

Maintenance Engineer main duties:

* Perform a variety of complex skilled tasks to assist in the daily repair and preventative maintenance of the physical plant and expansion projects.

* Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

* Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

* Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

* Liaise with Contractors as required.

* Assist in Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including developing planned and preventative maintenance.

* Complete work status feedback.

* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

* Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

* Wear all PPE necessary to task and area.

* Follow all site safety and quality systems, operating procedures and rules and regulations as applies to certifications, duties and training matrix.

* Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Maintenance Engineer desired skills and experience:

* HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (essential)

* HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (desirable)

* Good proven diagnostic skills in both electrical and mechanical disciplines

* Competent in interpreting routers, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, operating instructions, manuals, specifications, and correspondence.

* Excellent problem-solving skills, judgement, and communication skills

* Good IT skills

* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently and as part of a team

* Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated

* Vacuum processing experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

* Training opportunities for the right candidate.
