Role Overview:

Academics is offering supply and long-term teaching opportunities in Birkenhead for an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) who are keen to work with students diagnosed with ASD. Whether you're seeking flexible supply work or a longer-term role, we can offer a range of opportunities in supportive school environments, helping you build experience and develop your teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities as an Early Careers Teacher (ECT):

Teach and support students with ASD in both primary and secondary settings.
Create inclusive, engaging, and differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual student needs.
Work closely with SENCOs and support staff to ensure that students with ASD are fully supported in their learning.
Foster a positive and structured classroom environment, promoting the social, emotional, and academic development of your students.
Assess and monitor progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and school staff.Requirements for an Early Careers Teacher (ECT):

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards completing your Early careers Teacher (ECT) induction.
A genuine interest in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other SEN.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Adaptability and flexibility to work on a supply basis or in long-term placements.
A commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of students.Desirable:

Experience working with students with ASD or other SEN needs (in school settings or otherwise).
Knowledge of strategies to support learners with ASD.What We Offer:
