Technique Recruitment Solutions are working with our Norfolk based Haulage & distribution client who have over 40 years experience of deliveries and it is the drivers who goes the extra mile that is not forgotten. We understand what it takes, the challenges faced and the uncertainty a day can brings, due to recent contracts won they are looking to recruit for the following two driver requirements.

Pay rates are based on experience of £13.50 hr – £18.00 hr + overtime + Overnight allowance were necessary.

First role is to drive a 12 ton curtain side and deliver greenhouses to paying public. Collecting the vehicle from East Harling on Monday morning for deliveries Mon/Tue, returning to refill on Wed in East Harling, deliver Thursday/Fri and repeated weekly. With this role the work is guaranteed and so can give continued work.

This would involve nights out normally Monday, a Wednesday and Thursday, for the moment the lorry is a day cab so would be booked into a hotel for the night, night out still paid.

The suitable candidate needs to be physically fit to enable the unloading of the vehicle and helping the client with moving boxes to garages and gardens. Good personnel communication skills and well presented as dealing with customers face to face.

Flexible as sometimes this person would need to step in for the driver who drives a 26ton vehicle doing the same, this involves collection on Sunday and returning on Friday.

Second role is to drive either a 7.5ton,18ton or van curtain siders, collection from Norwich and transport to around the country. Majority of the jobs gained are from Norwich to London and return with in the day.

Generally not required to stay overnight

The candidate for this role needs to be physically fit to enable the strapping and unloading of goods

Good personnel communication skills and well presented as up holding the companies brand.

Flexible as the work is not guaranteed as role 1. Summer months are extremely busy with the some weeks in the winter being hit and miss on the work. Certainly as we continue to grow the work we gain is filling not just one but several vehicles every day.

With both roles each is essential that the drivers have a can do attitude towards the role as normally a very simple solution is required to over come a challenge.
