General Foreman (Civil Engineering) - Permanent

My client, a national sub-contractor specialising in the delivery of both Civil Engineering & Construction projects are currently looking to recruit an experienced General Foreman to join their Civils division.

The company offer a number of services to their clients across a range of sectors including Highways / Transportation, Structures, Drainage & Infrastructure, Public Realm + more.

General project values £5M-£20M

Duties

* Supervise and manage site operations, including subcontractors and direct labor

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

* Coordinate and schedule work activities to meet project deadlines

* Monitor and control project costs, ensuring efficient use of resources

* Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery

* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality standards

* Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts promptly and effectively

* Maintain accurate records of site activities and progress

Your profile

* Proven experience as a General Foreman or similar role in the civil engineering sector

* Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials

* Excellent leadership and communication skills

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Strong organizational and time-management skills

* Proficiency in using construction management software and tools

* Valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety qualifications

* Full UK driving license

* SMSTS or SSSTS with First Aid
