We are working an ambitious Managed Service Provider who are seeking a Technical Consultant to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for advising clients on transforming their organizations through the use of modern technology solutions. You will work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs, design and implement tailored technology solutions, and provide ongoing support and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Sales Support
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions with potential clients to understand their infrastructure and technology requirements
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of proposed solutions
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and solution designs
  • Provide technical expertise during client meetings and calls
  • Assist in estimating project scope, timelines, and resource requirements

Infrastructure Assessment and Design

  • Evaluate client's existing IT infrastructure and cloud services
  • Analyse data and diagnose issues to identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and risks
  • Design hybrid cloud, virtualisation, and other infrastructure solutions to meet client needs

Implementation and Delivery

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects
  • Contribute to the implementation and configuration of Azure Cloud solutions, Microsoft 365, and VMware
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the rollout of new technologies
  • Train client staff on the use of new systems, processes, and IT tools

Ongoing Support and Optimization

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for complex infrastructure issues
  • Maintain and optimize storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Conduct regular system health checks and performance audits
  • Update documentation and procedures as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a Infrastructure IT or technology consulting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services
  • Experience with VMware vSphere and other virtualization technologies
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in pre-sales activities and client-facing roles
