Job Summary
The Business Development Representative on the Foreign Exchange desk is responsible for generating and developing sales opportunities and leads that convert to new client business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
Build and maintain the sales pipeline.
Research and source new business leads that have exposure to FX transactions.
Make introductory calls to the prospective company’s decision makers.
Respond to and manage inbound sales inquiries.
Set appointments with the senior trader and prospect (phone call or face-to-face)
Continuously expand the network of companies for lead generation
Ensure all sales activities, communications and opportunities are followed up and recorded in CRM.
Develop an understanding of the FX market and world economy.
Requirements
Ability and comfortable with making initial and follow-up cold calls.
Initiative: plans ahead and carries out tasks without detailed instructions.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and capacity to work independently.
Commitment to excellence - perform duties at the highest level possible on a consistent basis.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Motivation: must have a positive attitude and strong work energy
High degree of integrity-- demonstrated ability and temperament to work with sensitive and confidential information.
Team player - have team-oriented experience and approach.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in B2B sales or similar experience.
Active FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses or willing to test.

The estimated base salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $62,500 to $70,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The final base salary amount that is offered to any candidate, in any location, will be determined on several factors, which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education, and/or regulatory licenses.
