Based in NewhamWe are recruiting for an experienced BSL Learning Support Assistant qualified in British Sign Language Level 2/3 to work with deaf/hard-of-hearing pupils. You will support the pupils with hearing impairment by providing BSL interpretation in the classroom and during extracurricular activities. You will help the pupils develop their BSL skills, which will enable them to become more independent. This wonderful setting is situated in the heart of Newham with excellent transport links.

Job responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with Hearing impairment
Communicate with pupils using BSL
Comfortable supporting pupils with various Learning Difficulties
Ability to engage and support pupils
Assist with personal care if needed
Supervising pupils behaviourBenefits to you:

Previous experience in supporting children or Adults
Level 2/3 in British Sign Language minimum (BSL)
Excellent communication skills
Valid DBS check registered online with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
Available Full-Time, 5 days a week
