We are recruiting for a PMLD Teaching Assistant at a Secondary Special Needs Schools across Ilford for children aged 11-19 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD, and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.
Starting ASAP on a full time & long term, temp to perm basis.
PMLD Teaching Assistant summary;
PMLD Teaching Assistant at a special need.
Starting ASAP on a full-time basis.
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm.
Pay up to £105 per day.
You will need to support children with care as well as education.
You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
Working closely with the class teacher and other TAs in your group to provide holistic support to children.
Some children require Personal Care including toileting, changing and personal hygiene.
Some require moving and handling support with wheelchairs and hoists.
Most children are working on the Engagement Model of Learning which focuses on 5 main areas: Exploration, Realisation, Anticipation, Persistence & Initiation.
This is a Special Needs School in East London for children aged 2-7 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.
Rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
Collaborative, welcoming and inclusive team environment.
Approachable management.
PMLD Teaching Assistant requirements;
Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
Minimum of 2 professional references.
MUST have previous school experience

Have the legal right to work in the UK.
