Job Title: CNC Laser Operator
Excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Laser Operator from a manufacturing / engineering environment.
We have worked with this client for several years; they offer a first class working environment and the opportunity to work in the Manufacturing sector.
CNC Laser Operator – Main Duties:
Operating Bystronic Machines: 6KW & 12KW Fibre & Co2 Lasers.
All machine and personal safety procedures to be followed at all times.
Ensuring material is checked for correct identification, size, thickness and grade, prior to cutting.
Responsible for quality of components that have been cut on the machine.
Ensure customer orders are produced 'On time and In Full time' to required quality & schedule standards.
Bystronic / Trumpf or similar laser machine experience required.
Operators should have mechanical aptitude to both run and maintain your laser.
The laser operator duties also include, machine cleanliness and general condition, checking condition and supply of consumables, update computer systems to record cutting data, off-cut & material location.
Operate machine in accordance with manufacturers operating procedures.
Operator to maintain machine using daily and weekly checks and sign off against check sheets.
Use crane & forklift trucks where required - (Training required).
Be able to read drawings and use measuring equipment such as tape measure, steel rulers and vernier.
To do basic levels of inspection such as first offs and intermediate checks.
Ensure all Health & Safety standards are maintained to company policy.
Work to company quality policies.
Be able to follow instructions from customer via nest plans.
Ensure raw materials are of a high standard in accordance with company policies and customer requirements.
Unloading and loading of machine.
Maintain traceability on material and cut part.
They require a CNC Laser Operator with a minimum 5 years’ experience.
Qualifications / Skills/ Experience:
* Experienced laser operator
Salary / Hourly Rates:
6am - 2pm. Monday to Friday:
38.75 hours per week.
Basic rate is from £12.30. Potential to increase for an experienced candidate.
Overtime is Time and Half.
Benefits:
25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays.
