Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and various IT systems. The Systems Administrator will play a key role in monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the security of our systems, while also collaborating with the IT team to implement new technologies and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows, Linux) and network infrastructure.

Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other essential network services.

Manage cloud services (AWS, Azure) and ensure secure, efficient integration with on-premise systems.

Perform routine system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.

Manage and maintain virtualization environments such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

Ensure security compliance by maintaining system patches, updates, and antivirus protection.

Collaborate with the IT team to design and deploy system enhancements or new solutions.

Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues for end users.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Monitor network and system performance to ensure uptime and availability.

Manage storage solutions, ensuring proper data management and backup strategies.

Support infrastructure upgrades and migrations, including hardware refreshes and cloud transitions.

Ensure compliance with security policies, including encryption, access controls, and audit logging.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field/equivalent experience.

Experience:3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.

Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Solid understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.

Skills:Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and data encryption.

Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation and system management.

Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, VMware Certified Professional).

Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools such as Veeam or Datto.

Experience managing enterprise-level storage systems.
