Job Title: Area Operations Manager - Radiology Services

Shift Type: Days

Shift Times: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (M-F, may vary)

Weekend Requirements: Based on case load (overtime if needed)

Salary Range: $95,000 - $102,000

Relocation Assistance: Possible, discussed at interview

State Licensure Reimbursement: After 90 days of employment

Role Overview:

The Area Operations Manager oversees daily operations and supervises Radiologic Technologists and/or Sonographers within an assigned region. This role ensures compliance with company policies, patient care standards, and state regulations. The manager is also responsible for scheduling, staff performance, quality control, and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement staffing and schedules within the designated region.

Monitor performance and forecast service needs for personnel management, capital equipment, and departmental P&L management.

Ensure compliance with state regulations and laws, including Radiation and Health Department rules.

Provide direct supervision to all staff within the assigned region.

Maintain communication between management and technologists to ensure quality study results.

Conduct staff evaluations and provide recommendations for employee development.

Oversee image quality reviews and maintain inventory of equipment within the region.

Orient new employees to company policies and procedures.

Assist technologists with technical problems and address problem behaviors through coaching and counseling.

Review technologist payroll to ensure productivity and resource control.

Perform X-rays/ultrasounds as needed to maintain service levels.

Manage fleet scheduling for vehicle/equipment maintenance to ensure reliability.

Continuously monitor technologist credentialing, training, and quality of service.

Adhere to health and safety policies and report accidents or incidents immediately.

Physical Demands:

Push/pull equipment weighing 50-100 lbs using vehicle ramps and pulleys.

Pushing/pulling equipment in facilities or homes may increase the force to 50 lbs or more, occurring 16 to 24 times daily.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mobile radiology field.

At least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Valid State Radiologic Technologist/CRT and ARRT, ARDMS/CCI certifications.

Valid drivers license.

Willingness to travel up to 50% within the service area.

Certification Requirements:

ARRT

State License (California)

Limited license not accepted
